A chorus reconverted

The Santa Ana's Cathedral in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, Spain, had  a choir. Since 1497 we have recorded of it; in 1690 Lorenzo de Campos, through a drawing, shows him with his five doors. In 1802 Luján Pérez  was commissioned to make another more monumentality. Was configured with two entries, grandstands made for Ossavarry and ,in 1818,  American mahogany chairs  by Sebastian Melian.

In the 60's of XX century, the Pildain bishop ordered the dismantling , leaving the chairs scattered around the temple and the walls dismantled stone by stone and saved it until it was saved thanks to the idea of Don José Miguel Alzola that thinked in put on the wall closing the Bishop's Palace garden in the Obispo Codina street.
